This page describes the GobbleGab web preview. Your recognized words are used in your browser to create silly sentences. The sentence generator runs locally and does not save a history. Reading sentences aloud sends the sentence text through Cloudflare to ElevenLabs, as described below.

Microphone and speech recognition

Tap Tap to talk and allow microphone access. Recording starts while the speech software and model load in the background. Recording stops when you tap again or after 15 seconds, and is cancelled when the page is hidden. Speech is converted to text on your device using Whisper; GobbleGab does not upload your recording for transcription. Audio is held temporarily in memory while it is processed, and no recording or word history is saved. The transcript is not displayed. Useful words and their intentional sound-alike replacements are kept in page memory until you start another recording or close the page. There is no typed input.

Reading sentences aloud

Sentence playback sends the sentence text to this website’s Cloudflare function, which sends it to ElevenLabs to create audio using the app’s selected narrator. This includes words you spoke and intentional sound-alike replacements that appear in the sentence. Your microphone recording is not uploaded. The next sentence may be prepared while the current sentence plays.

GobbleGab does not store sentence text or generated audio on its server or include it in application logs. Audio is held temporarily in your browser’s memory for replay. Cloudflare hosts the website and forwards narration requests. ElevenLabs processes the sentence text and generated audio under its privacy policy and the connected account’s data settings. ElevenLabs may retain requests according to that policy and the account settings. Turn off Read new stories aloud and do not press Play to use the generator without sending sentence text for narration.

Your automatic-reading preference is saved in this browser. Clearing this website’s browser data removes that preference and the cached speech-recognition model.

Website requests

Your browser requests page files, speech software, and the speech model from this Cloudflare-hosted website. Those requests expose ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, to the hosting provider; page and model downloads do not contain your recording or words. Narration requests do contain sentence text, as explained above. The browser may cache the model files so later visits load faster. Clear this website’s browser data to remove its saved model cache. We have not added advertising, analytics scripts, accounts, or tracking cookies to this preview.

The iPhone app

The iPhone version is being prepared separately. Its final privacy policy and contact details will be published before App Store submission.

You can start a new recording or close the page. There is no GobbleGab account or saved word history to delete.

This is an interim website policy. A public support contact will be added before the iPhone app launches.
